Art Center Adventure!

Thanks to everyone who came along on the big yellow bus to Art Center. Who can forget our driver Anita getting lost in L.A. with Leslie and Brandy guiding us there using their phone apps? It was an amazing day and terrific to connect with our extraordinary alumni Paola, Andrea, Luisa, Enrique and Jesse over lunch. Talk about inspiring! We thank Juana, Nicola, Nik and Kit for organizing such a memorable visit that included gallery tours and classroom visits where we saw the students and teachers in action. The long, strong relationship we have with Art Center has lasted for decades. On the trip back it was clear that the seeds of dreams were planted in a new generation of designers who hope to continue their studies at Art Center in Pasadena.

YOUNG Love

One year after his passing, we remember the Poet of Letterforms. The power and inspiration of Doyald Young's ideas continue to inform and guide us at San Diego City College Graphic Design. He did it for the love of life and the love of letters.

Big Yellow Bus to Art Center! March 23rd

ART CENTER

We are going to rent a bus to get to Pasadena on Friday March 23. The least expensive bus we can rent is a yellow first charter school bus...sounds like an adventure? It’s going to be fun and we can all hang out together on the trip up and back.

The fee per person is $20 round trip and I want to ask everyone to bring $1 to tip the driver.

We have 9 seats left so please ask your classmates to email me so I get them on the list for the bus at candicemlopez@cox.net
SIGN THE FIELD TRIP FORM IN T310 BY FRIDAY MARCH 16TH at noon!
1. I need everyone to swing by Room T310 next week to sign the field trip form and waiver that will be posted on my window by noon. I need everyone to get that signed by Friday March 16.

GO TO ACCOUNTING AND PAY YOUR $20 FEE FOR THE BUS BY WEDNESDAY MARCH 21!
2. Go to accounting and pay your $20 fee for the graphic design bus trip to Art Center. You can pay cash, credit card or check so please get it done right away.
Accounting is located just up the steps from the bookstore.

When you pay please be sure to include your name and email on the memo line of your check or on a separate piece of paper so we can make your fees paid.

Meet us at the corner of Russ Blvd. and 16th on Friday March 23rd at 7:45 sharp. We leave on the dot at 8am so do not miss the big yellow bus!
