It is with great excitement I want to announce that the Graphic Design Program has a new full time Assistant Professor-SEAN BACON! It's no secret that Sean is a gifted teacher who embraces diversity, is a talented designer and deeply dedicated to students. After an extensive search and hiring committee interviews, San Diego City College President Beebe made this important decision for the Graphic Design program, that was approved by Chancellor Carroll.
Sean originally hails from Saratoga, California and recently completed his Masters in Graphic Design from the Savannah College of Art and Design. He has an extensive background as a practicing graphic designer and expertise as an educator and leader in the design community. He is incredibly resourceful, smart as a whip and has the unique ability to point students to just the right design book or website when they need it most. At San Diego City College Sean has taught Page Layout, Portfolio A and B, Studio Practices and Travel by Design. He has secured grants for the graphic design program and is a skilled administrator and strategist.
He will be teaching Basic Design, Page Layout, Portfolio A, Web Page Design and Travel by Design this Fall. At City College Graphic Design we celebrate Assistant Professor Bacon, a visionary thinker who will help guide the design program forward to the future.
