Thanks to all the students and faculty who attended UNITE with Margo Chase and alumni Paul Drohan. The question/answer session was really interesting and it was an opportunity to connect with design students from other schools. A big shout out to Min Choi the AIGA SDCC Education Coordinator and SDCC student chapter leadership for all their hard work to make it possible.
We have a very exciting AIGA SDCC Workshop coming up this month so mark your calendars:
Process Workshop with SDCC Alumni Sara Correia & Desiree Aspiras
Friday February 17: 12:30-2pm
Room V403A on the San Diego City College Campus
Being a graphic designer is not easy. We have to create effective and engaging designs, usually on tight deadlines and often with hard-to-please clients. We have to have tools and techniques ready in our design arsenal to be able to inspire our creativity and explain and defend our designs to clients, art directors and account managers.
In this process workshop you will:
Learn more about what a typical process for a graphic design project can look like.
Understand why it is so important (professionally and mentally)
to nail down a process that works for you.
Get tips on how you can take steps towards finding a design process that will help you become a more productive (and calmer) designer.
See samples of how other designer have used process pages in their portfolios to communicate the process they used to develop their design concepts.
