City Food Pantry needs a designer's hand

Today I was going through a hard time with no money for food and I was very hungry. The food pantry was able to help me out with a sack lunch and I just wanted to say Thank You!

In this tough economy many San Diego City College students struggle to make ends meet and City College Emergency Food Pantry is there. The program started when a group of faculty and staff identified the need to provide the vital assistance to students at our college. Through donations of cash, food and payroll deductions the program offers students much needed access to emergency food. The Help pre-packed lunches are located on City's campus in L121 and are distributed Monday to Thursday. Students in need of food aid can also fill one grocery bag with canned and dried food items on Wednesdays from 12-1 pm.

The City Food Pantry needs our help to re-design their logo. As the program tries to reach out to the students it serves as well as donors that include stores like Costco for food they need a new identity. SDCC Graphic Design calls on it's students and alumni to contribute their talents to this worthwhile program. The design eventually could end up in your portfolio and there are needs for stationery and posters. If you feel motivated to help please contact candicemlopez@cox.net

Thanks for giving back.

  1. I am looking to relocate by brand management company to North County, and want to tap into the packaging design and graphic design community, as well as programmers. Any one able to help give any direction? Appreciate any insights.
